Varicose Vein Treatment

Heart & Vascular

Venous disease is characterized by poor blood circulation and can result in such symptoms as pain, swelling, and tired and heavy legs. Other symptoms include:

  • Skin discoloration and or ulcers
  • Itching and or burning
  • Restless legs and or cramps
  • Bulging and or spider veins

Untreated varicose veins worsen over time. Saint Luke’s Muriel I. Kauffman Women’s Heart Center can help determine the cause of your symptoms and provide the best treatment options for your legs.

Evaluation and treatment

We approach your venous disease with a comprehensive medical evaluation. Our dedicated team of board-certified cardiologists supervises all venous conditions and treatments.

Within the medical spa atmosphere of the Women’s Heart Center, your initial visit will consist of an evaluation of your leg symptoms. This evaluation will include an ultrasound of your veins by a specialized vascular technologist to determine the proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
