Saint Luke’s Hospital’s Diabetes Center provides comprehensive services and features an integrated care team, where patients can access endocrinology specialists, certified nurse educators, and certified dietitian diabetes educators all within the same suite. Additionally, the center:

  • Is recognized by the American Diabetes Association
  • Features certified diabetes nurses and dietitians who are experienced in managing complex diabetes cases
  • Promotes long-term health through a variety of individual and group classes
  • Features a teaching kitchen with cooking demonstrations to promote a healthy diet
  • Offers customized care plans with input from multiple specialists

Diabetes and endocrinology care

Our clinical team treats patients of all ages, including juveniles and adolescents. Our pediatric endocrinologist specializes in helping young patients control their diabetes into adulthood. We collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to treat conditions ranging from thyroid cancer to cardiovascular issues related to diabetes and endocrine disorders.

Diabetes education

The diabetes education center provides easy access for patients who are newly diagnosed with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or those seeking additional help managing diabetes. We offer a range of classes and programs aimed at either supporting clinical care or as separate resources to promote a healthy lifestyle. When patients are referred to the diabetes education center, their primary care doctors are able to remain fully involved with the patient's care. Family members are also encouraged to attend to provide additional support.
