The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services estimates that the Hepatitis C virus affects as many as 3.9 million Americans. The virus is 10 times more infectious than HIV and is the leading cause of liver cancer. Yet up to 75 percent of people don't know they have Hep C.

You're more at risk if you:

  • Were born between 1945–1965
  • Are a veteran
  • Received a tattoo from an unlicensed source
  • Have a history of drug use
  • Recipients of donated blood, blood products, and organs prior to 1992

Saint Luke’s Liver Disease Management offers a simple finger-prick blood test that will tell whether you have Hep C. The test is free and confidential, and you'll find out your results immediately following the screening.

Hep C is a treatable disease, and our liver disease experts can help you manage it if you test positive.
