Lower radiation exposure for safer stress tests

Saint Luke’s has cut radiation exposure by 60 to 75 percent in its SPECT imaging, which is used to show how well blood is flowing in the muscle of the heart. Upgraded cameras and new protocols for testing mean increased patient safety. And the majority of our patients receive radiation dosages that are one-third of what is recommended by the International Council for Nuclear Cardiology. When you choose Saint Luke’s for your next stress test, you can rest assured you’re getting the highest-quality care with the safest and most up-to-date practices in the region.
