Visiting Guidelines

To encourage family and friend involvement, we welcome visitors at all hours. In general, we do not have set hours posted for most of our nursing units. Our intensive care units, neonatal intensive care units, and maternity units may have more specific visiting hours or visitor restrictions.

We ask that you keep the following points in mind:

  • Visitors should be free of colds, flu symptoms, diarrhea, or skin infections.
  • Visitors should wash their hands before and after their contact with you. Alcohol-based sanitizers are available in all patient rooms and numerous public areas within the hospital.
  • The number of visitors allowed is determined by each patient care unit and may be variable according to patient care needs. In certain circumstances, visitors may be restricted at the discretion of the physician or nurse.
  • Visitors under the age of 13 must be attended by an adult other than the patient while in the hospital.
  • Visitors are encouraged to keep noise or loud conversations to a minimum. Disruptive visitors may be asked to leave the patient care area.
  • Visitors entering the hospital after 9 p.m. are asked to check in through the Emergency Department for security purposes.
