Adrenal Disorders

The adrenal glands are located on top of the kidneys. They produce several hormones – including estrogen, progesterone, steroids, cortisol, and cortisone. These hormones help regulate the body’s chemical balance and metabolism, while also supplementing other glands.

Hyperparathyroidism is a disorder in which the parathyroid glands in your neck produce too much parathyroid hormone (PTH). This hormone controls calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin D levels in the blood and bone.
