Saint Luke’s Hospital’s Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) is an 18-bed critical care unit specializing in the care of surgical and neurological illness. Our NSICU has state-of-the-art equipment which provides the physicians and nurses with advanced monitoring capability. In addition, the unit has the capability to perform bedside CT scans for patients with neurological illness or injury. 

Common conditions treated and monitored in Neurosurgical ICU include:

  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Hemorrhagic stroke, including post-intervention care 
  • Multi-injured trauma injuries
  • Brain tumor (postoperative care)
  • Epilepsy monitoring
  • Postoperative care

Visiting hours and guidelines

No visitors from 6:30–8:30 a.m. and 6:30–8:30 p.m.
