Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is a Level I Trauma Center, which means it's capable of providing total care for every aspect of injury—from prevention through rehabilitation. Saint Luke’s first gained trauma center designation in 1981—and has remained staffed and ready to treat any type of injury 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In addition, the hospital has:

  • Expertise to treat traumatic injuries across a continuum of care—from the Emergency Department through rehabilitation and recovery
  • A specialized care team—with doctors, nurses, and therapists trained in trauma medicine and a wide range of surgical specialties available 24/7
