A meditation chapel is located on the first floor. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to visit the chapel for worship services, prayer, and quiet reflection. Should a chaplain be needed, please ask hospital staff for assistance.


Vending machines are located on the first floor near the Emergency Department entrance.

Room Service
Nutrition Services makes every effort to provide nutritious meals that are prepared according to your doctor’s orders. A pre-selected menu guide is provided in each patient room. Alternate selections are also available and listed in the guide under A la Carte. If you are on a special diet prescribed by your doctor, you will receive menus tailored to your specific needs.

Meals are served as follows: 

  • Breakfast: 7:30 - 8:15 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Dinner 4:30 – 5 p.m.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop, Harriett’s Corner, is located in the hospital lobby. Hours of operation are 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday - Friday. The phone number is 913-684-1134 (or ext. 51134)

Patient advocate

The Patient Advocate Department serves as a liaison between patients, their families or representative(s), and the hospital. The patient advocate transcends departmental lines and interacts with staff at all levels within the organization.

To reach the patient advocate while you are in the hospital, call 913-684-1238 (or ext. 51238) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Patient and Family Advisory Council

The council is a diverse group of patients and family members who meet regularly with hospital staff to discuss ways to enhance the patient care experience and promote quality, effective health safe in a safe environment.

Patient rights and responsibilities 

Quality patient care is a primary concern of Saint Luke’s Health System. The goal of patient rights and responsibilities is to improve care, treatment, services, and outcomes by protecting and promoting each patient’s rights.

Parking for patients and visitors is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All parking at Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital is free. Patients and visitors parked in the West parking lot may be asked to move their vehicles if a helicopter needs to land.

Sending Mail/Flowers

Your mail and flowers will be delivered to you by our volunteers. Mail received after your discharge will be forwarded to your home address. The delivery florist will be responsible for redelivery after discharge.

Visiting Guidelines

In order to enhance the quality of care, specific visiting hours and regulations have been established for each unit. Visiting hours and regulations are available at the information desk on the main floor. If you need additional information, please check with the nurse on the unit.
