SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION

As a not-for-profit organization, Hedrick Medical Center relies on fund-raising efforts to provide services not covered by patient fees, acquire new technology, support the underserved in our community, and ensure excellent care for all of our patients.

Why give

The Hedrick Medical Center Foundation was formed to assist the health care professionals and staff of Hedrick Medical Center.  The purpose of the Foundation is to promote, advance, encourage, assist and support the growth, development and operation of the hospital. All funds will be used to support programs and services of Hedrick Medical Center.

How to give

  • Gifts can be made in memory of or in honor of friends, family members and caregivers.  These gifts can be earmarked for a particular Foundation project or can be a general fund donation.
  • A planned gift to HMC Foundation as a part of a will or trust can create a long-lasting legacy for the donor and family.
  • Other opportunities to give include making the Foundation a beneficiary of a life insurance, pension plan or retirement account.

Opportunities

  • The Gardens at Hedrick Medical Center
This four acre space at Hedrick Medical Center will be the inaugural project for the Foundation. The gardens will incorporate many different styles of design that all work together to provide a comfortable, serene and restorative place to spend time. Many naming and sponsorship opportunities at all financial levels will be available.
  • Golf Skills Challenge
Each fall, the Foundation hosts a golf skills challenge. The skills challenges use basic golf skills—putting, chipping, and driving—and are scored in terms of difficulty, distance, or accuracy. Golfers of all levels and abilities are welcomed.
  • Oncology Nurse Navigator Program
Hedrick Medical Center provides an Oncology Nurse Navigator program dedicated to easing the physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial hardships of living with and beyond cancer.
  • Dinner Gala
In April 2016, the Foundation hosted its first annual Dinner Gala. Over 175 people attended this event to benefit The Gardens and Oncology Nurse Navigator programs.
