DAISY Award

Did you meet an outstanding nurse during your hospital stay? Nominate an extraordinary nurse for a DAISY Award.

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses honors the very special work nurses do every day. The award was established by the DAISY Foundation—an organization for the elimination of diseases attacking the immune system—in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Barnes' parents established the foundation in their son's memory because they had experienced firsthand the skills and compassionate care of many nurses.

The award is given to outstanding nurses in more than 500 hospitals across the country and abroad. Saint Luke's is proud to be among the hospitals recognizing and honoring their extraordinary nurses. This award program offers patients, families, and professional colleagues a way to honor nurses for all they do.

DAISY Award honorees personify the exceptional patient care experience at Saint Luke's. These nurses consistently demonstrate excellence in their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care, and they are recognized as outstanding role models in our nursing community.

Note: Nominations are limited to Saint Luke's Hospital, Saint Luke's East Hospital, Saint Luke’s North Hospital, Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital, and Saint Luke's Home Care & Hospice.
