Parents beware: don't bundle your babies and children before securing them into a car seat this winter

Parent educator and car safety seat expert Terry Dickinson of Saint Luke's North Hospital explains to Alexis Del Cid at KCTV 5's Better Kansas City the dangers of bundling your child before placing him or her in a car safety seat this winter. During a collision, that puffy coat will contract, leaving your child vulnerable to movement within the straps and injury. A lightweight fleece jacket is better, with a blanket or coat on top of the straps.
