Saint Luke's Health System's religious heritage is rooted in the Episcopal Church. The chaplains at Saint Luke's Northland Hospital minister to the spiritual needs of patients, their loved ones, and staff. We minister to persons from every faith background including those who do not have a particular faith.
The hospital chapel is always open for prayer and meditation. It is used by persons from every faith and denomination. Prayer requests may be left in the box at the chapel entrance. On the Barry Road Campus, the chapel is located just inside the main entrance. The chapel on the Smithville Campus is located on the first floor, pas the hallway to the cafeteria.

Prayer Cards
A prayer card is placed in each inpatient room and in outpatient areas on the Barry Road Campus. The prayer cards feature a healing prayer and a space to write personal prayer intentions. Patients can give the prayer requests to their nurses, or place them in the prayer boxes located in the chapel and in patient care areas. Family members and staff are encouraged to add their own intentions as well. Additional prayer cards can be obtained from the nursing staff.
