In addition to our skilled doctors, our team also includes transplant coordinators, transplant nurses, behavior therapists, pharmacists, dieticians, therapists, clergy, and financial counselors.

• Randy A. Brown, M.D., is Medical Director of the BMT program. Previously he was Medical Director of the BMT program at the University of Kentucky, and prior to that was a faculty physician at Barnes Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Brown completed training in Hematology and Oncology at Washington University in St. Louis in 1982 and trained with Geoff Herzig, M.D., a pioneer in the field of blood and marrow t. • Rakesh Gaur, M.D., is Chief of Medical Oncology at Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute and treats patients in the BMT program. Dr. Gaur completed a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology and received additional fellowship training in Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplantation at Madigan Army Medical Center/University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. He is principal investigator for the Kansas City Clinical Oncology Program and is the Research Director for Specialists in Cancer Care.
