Foreign Student Requirements |

Students for whom English is a second language must satisfy the following requirements:
- Recent TOEFL (Test of English as A Foreign Language) with a minimum score of:
Or a
- 57 (fifty-seven) for paper based testing
Is required on each of the three sections
Along with a minimum of:
The TOEFL must have been taken within the previous two years prior to the start of the program.
- A minimum score of 40 (forty) on the TSE (Test of Spoken English) or SPEAK prior to the start of the first semester. The TSE is offered by Educational Testing Services (Lees' Summit or Overland Park); the SPEAK is offered by the Office of International Programs, KUMC.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship of lawful permanent residency. If the applicant is not a citizen or permanent resident, then s/he must submit copies of her/his passport information pages, I-94 card, U.S. Visa, and/or other documentation that establishes legal non-immigrant status.
- Course by Course Evaluation of Foreign Transcripts by a U.S. Evaluation Service must be submitted with application.
