- Course Description

- This is a 6-month program that includes both didactic and clinical training in CT, with some exposure to 3-D workstation image manipulation. The intern will perform a wide range of examinations and biopsies, work closely with radiologists and other health care professionals, and complete class work curriculum. The goal of this course is to prepare the intern to sit for the CT Registry.
- Program Hours
- Clinical and didactic hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and every other weekend after the first month. Beginning and ending times will vary. The intern will be required to attend classes with an instructor, and complete self-study curriculum materials. Generational CT, Physics, and Cross-sectional Anatomy will be addressed in depth, along with examination requirements and patient care.
- Entry Requirements for the CT Internship Program
- Applicants must be graduates of an accredited radiologic program (a minimum of two years in length) and be eligible for or have passed the radiography registry. Successful intern candidates will be selected based on the following criteria:
• Registered by A.R.R.T.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Prior Clinical Experience
• Interview Score
• Foreign Student Policy
