Library: Library resources are available to students at the Health Sciences Library. Students of Saint Luke's College are also eligible for library privileges at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Health Science Library.
Learning Resource Center: The LRC is comprised of a Nursing Skills Laboratory and a Computer Laboratory. The Nursing Skills Laboratory provides a simulated clinical setting for students to practice, review, and update their skills. In the Computer Lab there are a variety of computer programs as well as e-mail and Internet access. The LRC staff provides a variety of services to assist individual students or groups. The LRC hours are determined each semester by class schedule and student need.
Counseling: Saint Luke's College maintains a Counseling Program which provides professional assistance to students. The Counseling Program has its foundation in the College philosophy which recognizes that each person is unique. Individual and group counseling methods are utilized to facilitate the growth and development of students.
Academic Advising: Students are assigned to a faculty member for academic advising when they are admitted to the College. Advisors approve courses and schedules for registration each term and provide assistance with course sequencing and selection of electives. Students are encouraged to contact their advisors for help with academic problems and personal and social adjustments to the College and nursing program.
Health Services: Saint Luke's College students may utilize the Saint Luke's Hospital Employee Health Service for minor ailments or emergencies. However, students are required to provide their own health care insurance coverage.
Student Organizations and Activities: Students enrolled in the College are members of the Saint Luke's College Student Nurses' Association. The organization promotes personal and professional development and serves as an avenue for student input into programs and policies of the College. Students are eligible for membership in the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA) upon admission to the College.
Transportation: Students are responsible for providing their own transportation to all classes and clinical sites.
