CPE II & Residency |

- Program Requirements
- provide pastoral and spiritual care on assigned units with rotation through several clinical areas at each clinical site (Saint Luke's Health System.)
- Actively participate in all aspects of the CPE program.
- Share emergency call rotation with peers, other students, permanent staff.
- Share preaching rotation with peers and permanent staff.
- Compete written assignments including verbatims, reflection reports, evaluations of each CPE unit, and other assignments.
- Complete a ‘Ministry Specialty Project' to present to peers and staff in July.
- Participate in a mid-year consultation and assessment process.
- Admissions requirements
- A Level I CPE Unit (including copies of the student's and supervisor's final evaluations)
- Three references
- An on-site admissions interview with SLHS supervisors and admissions committee
- Sufficient theological education to allow resident to actively participate in discussions about theological concepts and ideas
- Costs for Residency:
- Non-refundable application fee - $25.00
- Non-refundable deposit at acceptance - $200
- Tuition - $400 per unit less deposit and application fee
- Limited financial assistance is available by application upon acceptance into program
- Stipends and benefits:
- Residents receive and annual stipend of $30,500
- Meals while in hospital
- Group Health Insurance available at lower cost at the beginning of the second month of the program (October)
- Financial assistance to attend chaplaincy related educational conferences
- All Residents receive Student Memberships in both ACPE and APC
