External Access to Databases and Library Holdings |
 |
- This applies to SLHS employees who have logged in to this site and associated their login credentials with their employee information. (For Citrix or VPN users, see the information on Internal Users.)
- Log in to the Saint Luke's Health System web site with an account you've associated with your employee information.
- This is the same login account you use to view your PTO information, take HIPAA quizzes, or the like.
- If you haven't made such an account: first log in with a normal SLHS web site account (or make one via the New User link and log in with it) and then visit the Employee eLink. This process will associate that account with your employee information. (If you are on Citrix or the VPN, see the information on Internal Users instead.)
- Navigate your way to the Medical Knowledge Base page.
- Follow the Database and Library Holding links there as is.
- Caution: Do not make bookmarks in your browser to the external Database or Library Holding sites. They likely will not function properly.
- The special links on the Medical Knowledge Base page allow the external site to display the Saint Luke's Health System related content to you.
- No special login is required when using these links.
- Note: Both the New England Journal of Medicine and Up to Date have extra restrictions which will prevent you from accessing their restricted content while you are not on the SLHS intranet.
