School of Radiologic Technology
Program Overview: A two-year hospital-based radiology program.

About Radiologic Technology: Radiological technologists take x rays and administer nonradioactive materials into patients' bloodstreams for diagnostic purposes. Some specialize in diagnostic imaging technologies, such as computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Location
Program Schedule
  • Clinical and didactic hours are 40 hrs per week, Mondays-Friday.
  • Beginning and ending times vary depending on the student rotation.
  • The core curriculum is extensive to include subjects that are required by the American Society of Radiology Technology.

Accreditation

The Joint Review Commission of Education of Radiologic Sciences (JRCERT) accredits the Saint Luke's School of Radiologic Sciences. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Certification Examination to become Registered Radiologic Technologists

 

 

Course Description
  • The School of Radiologic Technology offers a two-year hospital-based radiology program. Students are provided extensive classroom instruction with clinical correlation. The program consists of eight quarters, each consisting of approximately 11 weeks. At the end of the two years, graduates are eligible to apply for the American Registry of Radiologic Technology National Certification Examination.
Educational Requirements
  • Applicants must be graduates of a state-accredited secondary school, receive a verifiable high school diploma as a result of home-schooling or present evidence of Equivalency by the State Department of Education. Students must have a minimum of 15 credit hours of Postsecondary General Education Courses.

  • Pre-requisites must be completed by application deadline:
    January 16, 2009.

Estimated Fees
  • Application Fee: $25 non-refundable
  • Matriculation Fee: $100 non-refundable
  • Activity Fee: $250 per year (MSRT Conference Fees & Hotel)
  • Tuiton: $2040 per yearfor June 2008 (subject to annual change)
  • Books: $1000 (approx) - for the entire two years
  • Uniforms: $250 (approx) - 5 set of scrubs
  1. Tuition payment schedules are due on the first day of the program
  2. Tuition fees for the first year must be paid in full prior to the beginning of the 7th quarter of the program.
  3. Books and uniforms must by purchased by the first day of the program
