This 18-month program includes both academic and clinical training in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasonography. The 18 months will be spent at a variety of imaging sites; and the student will be exposed to a wide range of "state of the art" equipment, and a large volume of clinical cases.
The core curriculum is extensive and includes all aspects of Physics, Abdominal sonography, OB-GYN and Vascular ultrasound. The program also includes an introduction to Fetal Echocardiography, Neurosonography and Breast Ultrasound as well as a registry review course.
Saint Luke's Heath System will present a certificate to graduates upon successful completion of the program.
The School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography is currently listed in the Directory of Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and is seeking accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS) and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
