Overview |
 |
- Clinical Laboratory Scientists, also called Medical Technologists, are scientists who perform laboratory tests that provide essential information for diagnosis and treatment of disease. Requirements include a strong college background in chemistry and biology and clinical training in Microbiology, Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Immunology and Molecular Diagnostics. CLS/MT professionals are employed in hospitals, physician offices and reference labs. Some pursue careers in sales, research, computer systems or technical product development.

- Books: $400
- Tuition and book fees are payable at entry. Reference books and laboratory coats are loaned to students free of charge.
- Financial Aid is not available through the CLS Program. Undergraduate students may obtain financial aid through the college/university. Graduate students are encouraged to apply for scholarships offered annually throughout the state and nation.
