Vermont Oxford Network (VON) - A program based on collaborative data aimed at reducing the incidence of retinopathy of prematurity by closely regulating oxygen saturation in extremely low birth weight infants. SeeMore Program - PediQUiC–A collaborative group of NICUs who meet twice yearly to review best demonstrated practice, develop quality improvement initiatives, and share data. The goal is to improve care of newborns. Participation in the Pediatrix Center for Research and Education Reduction of antibiotic usage - to promote the judicious use of antibiotics in infants in the NICU Random Safety Audits-ongoing review of medical care to ensure continued attainment of safety goals set by the NICU Ongoing monitoring of NICU outcomes including incidence of chronic lung disease, ROP, intracranial hemorrhage, infection and surgical outcomes Ongoing quality assurance for skills of NICU staff includes Neonatal Resuscitation Program, PICC line safety, RN educational modules, and Balanced Score Cards.
