bilateral cleft lip - both sides unilateral cleft lip - one side congenital - a disease, deformity, or deficiency existing at the time of birth congenital hairy nevus - dark colored area of skin (large mole), often covered with hair craniosynostosis - premature closure of one or all of the sutures of the skull hemangiomas - purplish or reddish raised area of skin palate - the roof of the mouth including the front portion (or hard palate), and the back portion (or the soft palate, also called the velum) plagiocephally - irregular shape of the head
