Hip and Knee Center

At Saint Luke's South's Hip and Knee Center, we're dedicated to providing the very best care to total hip and total knee replacement patients. Our specially trained nurses, therapists, and caregivers work closely with our surgeons to ensure each patient receives the information and care needed to return to a productive and pain free lifestyle.

This program is an evidence-based program that focuses solely on the total knee and total hip replacement patients. This stream-lined program is the only one of it's kind in the Kansas City area. Call to learn more.
The Saint Luke's Difference
  • The average length of stay for joint replacement surgery at Saint Luke's South is two-and-a-half days, compared to a national average of four days.
  • Patient outcomes include earlier mobility, greater range of motion in a shorter amount of time, going home earlier, and regaining independence more quickly.
  • More knee patients reach the 135 degrees range of motion, which is considered ideal.
  • Every detail, from preoperative teaching to postoperative exercising, is considered and reviewed with you.
