Question #6 : Women are more likely to have a "silent" heart attack, as opposed to one with clear signs or symptoms.
True: Forty-five percent of heart attacks in women go undetected. Unfortunately, women are also more likely to present with atypical symptoms such as shortness of breath; unexplained exhaustion or fatigue; chest discomfort (pressure, tingling, squeezing); indigestion or full feeling (an unrelieved need to belch); discomfort in the upper shoulder blades in the back; or possible neck, jaw or tooth pain.
