The Saint Luke's Difference

Saint Luke's opened the first Women's Heart Center in the country in 1994. Since that time, Saint Luke's has served over 38,000 women through the Center.

The Heart Truth

Heart disease is the number one killer of women.
One out of every four women will die from heart disease.
More women than men have died every year for the past twenty years from cardiovascular disease.
Women may have atypical symptoms and don't recognize they are heart related, commonly delaying medical treatment.
In women the first heart attack is more likely to be fatal and 65% of sudden cardiac death in women without previous warning signs.
An aggressive strategy of risk factor modification can prevent the majority of heart attacks.
