The Children’s SPOT is unique in its therapy-based approach to serving special needs children in the Kansas City area.  Other programs offer therapies as a supplement rather than the primary purpose. 

It is also the most intensive treatment model available – most children attend the preschool five days a week for two and a half-hours each day.  Being intensive and therapy-based ensures that developmental skills are constantly being challenged and reinforced. 

Licensed therapists work with children with a variety of diagnoses including autism, pervasive developmental disorder, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and those with complications arising from premature birth as well as with numerous other developmental disorders and delays.
