Saint Luke's Cord Blood Program
What Does My Participation Involve?
  • Those who are considering donating their child’s umbilical cord blood should call the Saint Luke’s Cord Blood Program at 816-932-2246 or email cordblood@saint-lukes.org to register.  This can be done at anytime during the pregnancy.  Donors must complete a questionnaire regarding the pregnancy and medical history of the family.  These questions are similar to the questions asked of  volunteer blood donors and you may find some of these questions very personal.  You will be asked to sign a consent form permitting the cord blood collection and potential use by another person.  This consent is signed at the hospital, however, a copy is sent to your home prior to your delivery for your review.
