Sandy Camacho, our Bariatric Program Specialist and Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass patient herself is available to discuss the risks and benefits as well as help determine whether or not you are a candidate for weight loss surgery. She had been obese to morbidly obese her entire adult life. With her family’s support, she made the decision to change her life through bariatric surgery. In February of 2000, she opted for Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass in an attempt to improve her health and quality of life. She is a complete success story. After this life-changing surgery, she decided to help others who are tired of being trapped in the “prison of obesity”. She is a living example of how a significant weight loss can improve all aspects of your life. Sandy left her nursing job and began working with Dr. Price full time in April 2002. She can now use her experience with this surgery and her empathy with patients to help others achieve their goals. She is well aware of the frustration that others face with obesity and can be an inspiration for success. She encourages her patients to go “by the book” to achieve their weight loss goals.
