Brian J. Johnston, FACHE, has recently been named chief executive officer of Hedrick Medical Center after serving as the Senior Director of Ancillary Services. Johnston joined Saint Luke's Health System in 2002 to complete his post-graduate fellowship at Saint Luke’s Hospital following administrative residencies at several nationally recognized health systems, including the Mayo Clinic and Kaiser Permanente. He has held various leadership positions at Saint Luke’s Hospital and Wright Memorial Hospital.  Johnston is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is a board certified health care executive, a distinction he achieved in 2007. He serves on ACHE’s Regents Advisory Council for Missouri and was recognized by ACHE as the 2005 Early Healthcare Executive of the Year for this region. Additionally, Johnston is involved with many projects on behalf of the Missouri Hospital Association. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Dakota
(2000) and Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Minnesota (2002).
