 Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) are health care professionals who are trained in human communication, its development and disorders. SLPs evaluate and treat people of all ages who have difficulty with areas of communication, cognition, and swallowing.

  • Communication

    • expression

    • articulation

    • comprehension

    • hearing

    • reading

    • writing

    • nonverbal language and voice.

  • Cognition

    • memory

    • orientation

    • problem solving

    • organization or information

    • understanding sarcasm, humor, expressions, etc.

  • Swallowing

    • chewing

    • transferring food/liquid to the back of the throat to be swallowed

    • swallowing in a timely manner.

  • Vital Stim: Electrical stimulation to assist in the restoration and faciliation of swallowing function
