Ron Baker was named Chief Executive Officer of Cushing Memorial Hospital in February 2008. He has more than 15 years of health care management experience, along with a long and distinguished career with Saint Luke’s Health System. Baker was part of the team who opened Saint Luke’s South in 1998, and was directly responsible for operations in opening Saint Luke’s East-Lee’s Summit in 2006. He also served as Director of Operations for Saint Luke’s Medical Group. Most recently, he served as Director of Saint Luke’s Care. He has also held positions at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Saint Joseph Health Center, and Veterans' Affairs Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. Baker holds a master’s degree in health administration from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
